Every year, different industries wait for Pantone’s Color of the Year announcement. From graphic design and product packaging to fashion and home furnishing, the influence of the Color of the Year is readily seen.
Ahead of the start of not just a New Year but a new decade, the Pantone Color Institute has announced that its 2020 Color of the Year is PANTONE 19-4052, also known as Classic Blue.
It’s reminiscent of the color of the sky at dusk, as the organization says, or a bowl of perfectly ripe blueberries. It’s also described as a color that “brings a sense of peace and tranquility to the human spirit” which makes it a perfect color for your furniture and other items at home.

Want to incorporate the Color of the Year in a large and dramatic way? Make it the color of a huge piece of furniture. The living room sofa is a great piece to work with. Since the room and the piece of furniture are already associated with relaxation, the calming classic blue is a color perfectly suited for the sofa and for the area in general.
2. Classic Blue Bathroom
If you want to achieve a Mediterranean-inspired look in your bathroom, the Color of the Year is your friend.
