Wedding Day Jitters: How to Spend the 30 Days Before Your Wedding

Bride and groom kissing

The month before the wedding day can make any calm and collected person feel anxious. You’re marrying the love of your life and you’re building your dreams together. That is both exciting and nerve-wracking. There is a lot to take care of, from choosing the best wedding photographer down to the catering services.

You’re getting married so it’s about to get busy. To help you make things better, here are some things you should do:

Before You Say “I do.”

A lot of details in the wedding are finalized in the month before it. Wedding preparations aren’t easy, especially if you and your partner are busy. You should check in with your events coordinator to see if all is going well. Don’t forget to finalize things with your wedding photographer in Utah and the rest of your suppliers as well.

Go on a shopping spree for clothes, toiletries, perfume, and other things you may need to bring on your honeymoon. You should also buy the things you may need on your wedding day. Make a “grand list” of everything you need and make sure to follow it strictly. Add something if you have to so you have what you need.

Have enough luggage space. Plan and buy accordingly because it’s going to get hectic from thereon. Group all the things you need for your wedding day and a separate group for the things you need on your honeymoon trip. It’s better if you have separate luggage for these.

Schedules and Communication

Woman choosing a wedding dressCreate separate group chats for all the people involved. For example, create a group with your partner and the events coordinator for checking how things are going. There should be separate group chats for the bride and her bridesmaids and the groom and his groomsmen. There should also be group chats for your family. This is a good way to keep them updated. This is better than sending personal messages to each one of them because that can take time.

Complete all the schedules of the activities of the wedding day, honeymoon, and other events related to the wedding. As always, make a list for this so you won’t forget anything.

The things you have to oversee depend on the kind of service you hired your events planner for. You can choose an events planner who will take of everything for you and just update you whenever they need to. You can also be as hands-on as you want. However, your honeymoon trip is a different story. Good thing, you can hire a travel agent to do all the bookings for you if you can’t do that anymore.

Final Checklist

Facial, waxing, or any treatment should be done at least 10 days before the wedding because these can cause discomfort and breakouts. For brides, going to a hairstylist and makeup artist is important for a test run. Some makeup and hairstyles may not look good so a practice run is a must to get the perfect look for your wedding day. Grooms should also visit their stylist for a practice run.

Lastly, try to keep some details of the wedding a secret so your guests will be surprised at how special it is. It’s okay to bring someone with you during fittings and practice runs because you need their opinion, but don’t post anything on social media. It will spoil the magic. Let them see how amazing everything is on the day itself.

Your wedding is one of the most special occasions in your life. It’s easy to say that you won’t get stressed with the preparations, but it’s a possibility because of all the happenings before this day. Still, it’s still important to shine through all of it.
