The Vampire Diaries screencaps

I finally had a chance to cap Mia’s brief scenes in episodes 1.11 and 1.12 The Vampire Diaries episodes. Her appearance in episode 1.12 was actually in the episode recap at the beginning, but it was a variation on the scene from 1.11. I also added 1 episode still, but I’m not sure if it’s from a cut scene or from a future episode she might appear in. Enjoy the new additions.

Rabiddoll.com: The Vampire Diaries – Unpleasantville

The Decade Dance turned out to be more of a masquerade with so many people hiding their true intent behind a mask of illusion. We had Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) pretending to be Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) escorts to the dance, when in fact they were bodyguards in hunt of the vampire stalking Elena. There was Noah (Dillon Casey), Anna (Malese Jow) and Ben (Sean Faris) all pretending to be average teenagers, hiding their true identities and intentions. And there was Alaric (Matt Davis) pretending to just be a history teacher, when he too had many secrets to keep. Perhaps only Bonnie (Katerina Graham), Matt (Zach Roerig), Caroline (Candace Accola) and Jenna (Sara Canning) were the only ones really not hiding what they were up to. They were all just looking for love. Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) was also just a bit clueless, but he too seemed sincere in his actions. Is nothing what it seems in Mystic Falls?

Interview: Kevin Williamson and his Vampire Diaries, Plus He’s Almost Done with the Scream 4 Script

At the helm of both film and television, Kevin Williamson has established himself in Hollywood as a visionary whose success created immediate attention. He has garnered respect, not just as a writer, but also as a producer and director whose visions have resulted in some of the most lucrative franchise vehicles ever made.

His first foray into television was the series Dawson’s Creek, a show that instantly became a pop culture phenomenon and launched then-unknown actors James Van Der Beek, Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson and Michelle Williams into instant stardom.

Preceding Williamson’s success in the world of network television, his rise into the spotlight began in 1996 with the modern cult-classic feature film Scream. With his self-referential wit and biting dialogue, and drawing on his childhood love of scary movies, he created and wrote the franchise that reinvigorated the horror genre and also tapped into the previously ignored market of teen viewers.

Rabiddoll.com: The Vampire Diaries – Bloodlines

Starting right back where the show left us two months ago, we witnessed the aftermath of Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) car accident. Just as the shadowy figure began to approach, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) arrived in the nick of time. It was a Heathcliff-ian rescue as he ripped off the door of Elena’s car and took her sweepingly into his arms checking anxiously to see if she was okay. But then Elena softly mumbled, “I look like her,” and lost consciousness. Not sure what to do with her, Damon did the next best thing. He put her gently in his car and took her to Georgia with him.

Vampire Diaries Recap: Episode 11 Bloodlines

Revelations, much? After last night’s epically revealing episode of “Vampire Diaries,” I couldn’t help but wonder if scribe Kevin Williamson’s New Year’s resolution was to spill more secrets than Hollywood’s most connected gossip columnist. Seriously, am I the only one whose head is still spinning?

The action picked up right where it was left back in November (read our recap of the previous episode for a quick refresher), with Elena dangling upside down in her over-turned car after hitting a mysterious figure in the road. The “man” eventually begins to unfolds his limbs like a piece of origami, lumbering towards the vehicle. With vampiric-like speed he quickly disappears, replaced by Damon a millisecond later. He collects the bruised-up Elena from the car, and the next thing she knows, she’s cruising down the Georgia countryside in Damon’s sweet Mustang. Hollywood Crush loves road trips!

Exclusive: ‘Vampire Diaries’ lures ‘L Word’ babe Mia Kirshner

Here’s proof that the TV biz hasn’t completely closed up shop for the holidays: L Word and 24 alum Mia Kirshner has just inked a deal to join the cast of The Vampire Diairies on a recurring basis, sources confirm to me exclusively.

Kirshner will be playing the role of Isobel, the sweet-yet-dangerous wife of Matt Davis’ history teacher, Alaric.

The actress will make her debut in the Jan. 21 episode, which, come to think of it, has already been shot. How will VD boss Kevin Williamson pull that one off? “Ever hear of an 11th hour reshoot,” sniffs an insider. “That’s what they’re doing.” There’s no reason to be nasty about it.

CSI: NY 6.04 screencaps

I’ve just updated the gallery with screencaps of Mia’s appearance in episode 6.04 of CSI: NY. She was great as always and Rose Rollins even made an appearance in the episode. They weren’t in any scenes together, but it was neat to see them in the same ep nonetheless.

AfterEllen Interview with Mia Kirshner

Who killed Jenny Schecter? A mere five months ago, that was the burning question on lesbian lips in living rooms and local bars from Los Angeles to Little Falls, New Jersey.

Mia Kirshner (Miss Conception, The Black Dahlia, 24) — the astonishing actor who played Jenny, and managed to find the humanity in a character known for uttering, “Adele, the appliqué on the back of your jeans was declared an abomination by the Geneva Convention,” and other psychotic bon mots — is in fact a thoughtful woman who’d rather spend time with her friends than bask in the spotlight of Hollywood.

After a record six years as Showtime’s longest running original series, The L Word finally ended in March, putting our love-to-hate relationship with Jenny Schecter to rest, not to mention relieving us of those annoying alliterations.

What many people don’t know is, all that time, Mia was also focused on humanitarian issues, and in October, 2008, she published her first book, I Live Here, a collection of “visually stunning” narratives told through journals, stories and images, by refugees and displaced people from around the world.
