My apologies for the recent lack of updates. I’ve had a ton of things going on in my personal life lately and I just haven’t had much time for online things. I’m sure you all understand how that goes. Now to play catch up even though you probably already know about it…

Mia in Jane and Jane magazine

janeandjane_jan2009A big thanks to Candice for letting me know that Mia is featured on the cover and in the current issue of Jane and Jane magazine. I’ve never seen this mag in stores, so I will most likely have to order it, but as soon as I get a copy in my hot little hands, scans will be added to the gallery.

Personal, Meet Political
In sharp contrast to her navel-gazing character on The L Word, Mia Kirshner has no problem thinking globally. Jane and Jane caught up to the actress in Austin, Texas, on her book tour for I Live Here, a “paper documentary” benefiting Amnesty International.

First Look Studios proudly announces the DVD release of MISS CONCEPTION. Written by Camilla Leslie and directed by Eric Styles, MISS CONCEPTION follows baby-crazed Georgina Scott (Heather Graham, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me) as she races against her ticking biological clock to conceive a child through unconventional, but comedic methods. Zak sets off on a documentary shoot in hopes that she’ll cool off in his absence. But Georgina discovers that early menopause runs in her family and heads for a specialist with her reluctant best friend, Clem (Mia Kirshner, “The L Word”), in tow. Learning that her baby making days are numbered, Georgina enlists Clem and their camp pal, Justin (Orlando Seale), to make the most of it. A battle plan is drawn up but their escapades become increasingly frantic as Georgina explores internet sperm donors, night clubbers, a love struck co-worker and funeral-goers in her desperate and hilarious attempts to beat the biological clock.

This is the first film clip I’ve seen that features Mia, so I thought I’d post it here for you guys. I know the film hasn’t gotten the greatest reviews ever, but Mia and Heather look utterly adorable and I’m excited to see them in a project together. :)

‘Buy Borrow Steal’ retitled

Posted on: March 11, 2008 | Filed under: Film News, Miss Conception | 0 Comments

According to various online sources, the title of Mia’s upcoming film ‘Buy Borrow Steal’ has been changed to ‘Miss Conception.’ As I stated on my Heather Graham site, I am not a fan of this new title and if I weren’t a fan of Mia and Heather and didn’t know anything about the film, the title would make me walk past it in a video store. I wish the filmmakers and producers well when it is released in theaters and when it comes out on DVD, but I just don’t feel that this particular title was the best choice in the end.

Mia will be starring alongside Heather Graham in the new film Buy, Borrow or Steal which is currently being filmed in Belfast.
